Hope you
all have had a great summer.
We would
like to welcome back all the returning families, and a special
welcome to those who have recently joined Lakeshore Swim
Club.
We had an
exceptional season last year and we are sure that this trend will
continue going forward. We are now firmly entrenched as a Division I
team, and our athletes also had tremendous
success.
We hosted 2
successful meets including the CAN-AM meet last December and our
fundraising was also a success. This coming season we are
looking forward to hosting Ontario Provincial Team Championships –
Division I at the Etobicoke Olympium.
Below are
the fees for the coming year.
It is important to note that these rates are amongst the
lowest in the Province and reflect our commitment to maintain a
not-for-profit club structure.

The
Detail
·
Swim Ontario Registration – the
amount we must pay Swim Ontario to register your child as a
competitive swimmer.
·
Club Fees – the amount we collect
to pay the expenses of running the club.
·
Meet Fee Deposit (Escrow) – the
amount we collect to pay the entry fees for your swimmer at
meets. Your meet fee
deposit will be used to establish an account from which we will pay
meet entry fees for your swimmer. The amount collected
is an estimate based on actual and project meet costs and
participation. If your
swimmer swims in fewer meets than anticipated, the amount left at
the end of the season will be refunded. If your swimmer swims in
more meets than anticipated, we will ask you to top up the meet fee
account.
Payment Policy
Any
outstanding amounts from the previous season must be settled before
the practice season begins.
We will
accept either one lump sum cheque dated September 12, 2011 OR
three installments (post-dated cheques) dated September 12, 2011,
November 14, 2011 and February 10, 2012.
Cheques
should be made payable to "Lakeshore Swim
Club".
Payments can be placed in the Treasurer's mail folder in the
club office at Gus Ryder Pool during practice times. Do not leave cash in the
mail folder. Payments
will not be accepted by
City staff at the front counter.
Please indicate your swimmer's name
on each cheque as this will make it easier to reconcile and identify
each cheque. Thank you.
If you
do not submit payment or post-dated installment cheques by September
12, your swimmer will not be admitted to
practice.
Leaving the
Club
Swimmers who do not swim for the
whole season may receive a refund on
a pro-rated basis for club fees up to February 10, provided a new swimmer is found
to fill their vacant position. As such all post-dated cheques
may be cashed until the vacancy is filled. Refunds
are not paid after February 10.
The
balance of any meet fee account is refundable. Swim Ontario registration and
the Hosted Meet Levee are not refundable. The Club's Treasurer makes
the decision as to whether a refund is due.
