Canadians Medal at World Champs in Italy

Canada earned three medals this summer at the World Swimming Championships in Rome, Italy.

Ryan Cochrane, 1500 freestyle - Silver.  Coached by Randy Bennett
Annamay Pierse, 200 Breaststroke - Silver.  Coached by Jozsef Nagy
Ryan Cochrane, 800 freestyle - Bronze.  Coached by Randy Bennett.

In total 43 world records were broken during the meet.  26 in the women's events and 17 in the men's events. 

The only records not to be broken in Rome were:
Women - 800 / 1500 Freestyle, 400 IM
Men - 50 / 1500 Freestyle, 100 backstroke, 50 butterfly, 400 IM, 4x100 Free Relay
